IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP 2020
CANCELLED
Due to the current COVID 19 Pandemic it is with deep regret that Off Road NSW have made the decision to cancel the 2020 NSW State Off Road Championship.
The cancellation of the 2020 NSW State Off Road Championship is in line with the cancellation of other major events across the Nation and worldwide, with the aim to limit the spread of COVID 19.
This is not a decision that was made lightly, but after much deliberation and
consultation by Off Road NSW Panel Members.
To assist any NSW Club that is still in a position where they are able to hold an event in 2020, although the Championship is cancelled, Off Road NSW will be making a financial contribution to assist each club with the additional COVID 19 measures that are required to be put in place to minimise the burden.
The health and safety of our competitors, volunteers & spectators is our number one priority.
I take the opportunity to include all of you in the sentiment that NSW State Off Road Championship will return bigger, better and safer in 2021.
For any further information please contact your local Off Road NSW Panel Member.
Yours sincerely,
Off Road NSW

Reigning BFGoodrich CAMS Australian Off Road Champion Matt Martin has returned to his brilliant 2017 form to take out the annual Milbrodale Mountain Classic Off Road Racing Event. Hosted by the Hunter Valley Off Road Racing Association, more than 50 local and interstate competitors took part in the prestigious off road event.
From the start, Martin was in front and after the first heat,
had already built a solid lead to just under a minute ahead of Mat Huxley, before
using the next two heats to go further in front. Huxley was able to stay in
touch though, coming second in every heat, before falling short of winning his
first heat after Michael Denham, who eventually finished third outright, won
the fourth and final heat. Both Huxley and Denham also won their respective
classes in the Pro buggy and Extreme 2WD classes respectively, while
Denham was also awarded the Tin Top Award. In other classes, Richard
Wilton won the Super 1650 Buggy award while finishing seventh outright, Joshua
Nurrish claimed ninth outright along with the Extreme 4WD class, Gavin Sheppard
took out the Sportsman Buggy class, Drew Corcoran the Production 4WD class and
Greg Barron the Sportsman Buggy class. The entertaining SXS battles saw Kevin
Cant win the Sports class and Glen Ackroyd win the Turbo class, while Martin
won the Prolite buggy class with navigator Kerry Martin who also was awarded
the best female navigator, an award shared with Jessica Denham. Claiming the
fastest lap time on the longest course, Justin Guy was awarded the coveted ‘Man
of the Mountain’ award, while Kristy Hedley won the Best Female Driver. Other
accolades to be presented were the Nigel Beeston Memorial Award to Rikki
Headley and the best-presented vehicle, which was given Joshua Nurrish.

2018 DRIVER REGISTRATION FORM.

Chris Browning and Glen Scott have piloted the #131 Alumicraft to the top of the podium in a dusty 2017 Jim Anderson Earthmoving Kempsey 250 at Wittitrin. Browning drove a planned race from start of the weekend, letting the hard charging #19 Pro Buggy of Huxley and early pace setters of #622 Dullard and #635 Kenah jostle for early race positions before moving into 2nd place in Saturdays section.
Fast forward to Sunday morning, Huxley was pushing hard and lead the field away in the day's first section but as the dust from lap traffic began to take its toll on the Pro Buggy driver it was visible that Browning in the Nissan powered Prolite was starting to make his charge. Huxley caught a group of lap traffic and faulted momentarily allowing Browning to ascend to first on the road. Meanwhile the #635 Can-Am of Kenah also had plans and had been making their way methodically through the traffic, they were on the way to pressure Huxley as well. Unfortunately for Kenah tyre contact with Huxley was enough to pick his wheel up resulting in a bent arm and a roll onto the side, ending his weekend. Sunday's first section finished with Browning, Huxley and the #217 of Brad Bishop in 3rd. Bishop had a threat to also contend with in the form of 4th overall #211 Scott Brown whom he was having a fierce class battle with for Super 1650 honours.
Sunday Section 2 was another leg that went to plan for Browning as he drove faultless to the victory. Huxley however was still to have some excitement in store, whilst traveling at speed in one of the faster parts of track referred to as "The Airstrip" he suffered a failure on a rear arm pivot box that resulted in a roll over and damage that would finish his day. Bishop who had been struggling with clutch issues was unable to profit from Huxley's loss as he to was forced to retire.
The 2nd and 3rd outright positions were once again on the table. #211 Brown and the ever reliable defending champion of #18 Glen Hoffman decided these positions had their names on them and capitalised where others had been unable to get the job done.
Congratulations to all finishers and those who attempted the 2017 Jim Anderson Earthmoving Kempsey 250 at Wittitrin and our winners for 2017 Chris Browning and Glen Scott #131Mat Huxley #19 has dominated the field at the 2017 Jim Anderson Kempsey
250 at Wittitrin today with a solid performance in both the prologue and
"Dallas's Dash" Top 10 Shootout. Leading the field away in pole
position he set about making dust and dust there was. Joel Dullard
driving the #622 Can-Am put in a serious effort to run with Huxley and
was comfortably commanding 2nd on the road as they pushed through the
lap traffic until a roll over in the arena whilst passing a slower
car in the dust. Browning #131 meanwhile was finding his way around
Wittitrin again after last competing at the event in Sportsman class,
Chris was winding the wick up on the Alumicraft and pushed into 2nd
outright. Kenah in the #635 Can-Am is driving a calculated race and
holding down third at the finish of Saturday's racing.
Can Browning hunt down 1st place or will Huxley continue the onslaught tomorrow? A serious battle is guaranteed for sure!
